I have a confession to make. I’ve never knitted socks. Going through some potential new projects I decided I needed a new challenge. Socks! So first out is a practice pair for me to wear this winter.
I found Virginia Rose-Jeanes Vanilla Latte Socks which is a nice make-your-socks-the-way-you-prefer-pattern with instructions for beginners and different options. And, important, it’s not all stockinette. The nice little garter rows makes all the difference. (Since I don’t like coffee I will think of cocoa and get knitting!)
I’m using a Zauberball from Schoppel Wolle and after measuring my ankles I decided to make the bigger size. So I’ve cast on 72 sts on 2.5 mm going with the same gauge as in the pattern.2
